Dear Yuletide Writer
Nov. 6th, 2019 08:05 pm Hi, I'm Hilsee! Whether you're my match or a random viewer, welcome one and all! These are just some rambling thoughts + plot bunnies. As long as there're no DNWs involved I'll love everything you write for me! I have no particular preference for any rating from G-E - I do prefer shippy fics, but character-centric/emotionally-charged platonic gen fic could be interesting too!

Golden Kamuy
Characters:
Ogata Hyakunosuke, Kiroranke, Ariko Rikimatsu, Kikuta
Ah Golden Kamuy, you beautifully violent, hilarious, bizarre adventure. I'd love to read character study fics about any of these characters - pre-canon backstory fleshed out? canon-period introspection? The complexities of these characters' alliances and true motivations really makes imagination run wild! Power plays and secret double-crossings galore. Regarding character pairings, I mainly ship Ogata/Kiroranke and Ariko/Kikuta, but hey! Surprise me! I'm a consummate multishipper and would be interested in any possible permutations of these characters.
Ogata/Kiroranke:
Precanon: how did they first meet (in the army during the war?) and come to their understanding and arrangement? I couldn't get enough of their silent camaraderie of mutual plotting in canon, and would love to see how that developed. Snarky banter? Trying to tease out each other's motivations under smiles and banter? Canon: do they sneak away when everyone else in the group has gone to sleep to plot together - or more?
Ariko/Kikuta:
Precanon: the imagery of them spending that night in the trenches, injured and holding onto the sound of each other's voices until daybreak really stuck with me. what did they talk about? did their mood and state fluctuate throughout the night as their injuries worsen without knowing if help will ever come? was one - or both of them - even then secretly filing away information for future power plays? did they know each other before that night, and how well? And after the war: how did they spend their break away from the 7th division's main operations? situational codependency? Ariko seems to be the more stoic of the two, while Kikuta is the more charming/conversational between them; how does that dynamic work for them? Canon: they've parted ways as of now, but speculation about future reunions/betrayals?
Design for Living
Characters: Tom Chambers, George Curtis, Gilda Farrell
Character studies of these individual characters would be really interesting - especially the two men's relationship before they met Gilda, and her own life before meeting them. And of course: post-canon poly relationship shenanigans! Are they domestic, or do they openly flaunt their relationship (as much as possible within the realities of that era)? Do they stay in Paris, or do they embark on a Grand Tour of Europe? I'd prefer no noncon/dubcon for this fandom in general.
Psmith
Characters: Mike Jackson, Psmith

Do-Not-Wants:
non-canonical & unrequested permanent character death/disabilities
unrequested genderswap
irrevocable tragedy fics (angst w a happy/bittersweet ending is great though!)
mundane & modern AUs (coffee shop, soulmate etc.), ooc crack (for these fandoms i'd prefer historical AUs only please!)
kinks: watersports, scat, bestiality, mpreg, a/b/o, hard lifestyle bdsm, explicit underage, ooc feminization based on character's sexual positions, daddy kink
Likes:
- angst with a happy ending (bittersweet is great too! just not a totally downer ending)
- codependency to the point of an unhealthy relationship, acknowledged in-universe or not
- strong characterization/character study
- kinks: emotional(?) sex where characters' mental landscape are explored (whether its positive or negative, focused on their partner or not, both are great! or even unenthusiastic sex where someone's mind wanders elsewhere instead - just general introspection during sex is interesting), non-con/dub-con, sex pollen, oral, desperation, power play, dirty talk, unhealthy coping mechanisms

Psmith
Characters: Mike Jackson, Psmith
For this fandom my favorite is boarding school!era with all its relatable misdemeanors and shenanigans! But genre-wise, anything is good - canon-typical light-hearted humor or misunderstandings-fueled angstfest? both r good! i'd prefer not to read noncon for this, and preferably no handwaving of period typical homophobia.
Mike Jackson/Rupert(?) Psmith:
i missed nominations but i'd love adding Adair into the mix as well, if you're so inclined of course! maybe either Mike or Psmith mistakes the other's budding friendship w the cricket captain for something more, leading to misunderstandings and jealousy/angst at unrequited love? or is there actually something more there, but all can be solved with a good old threesome/poly relationship? unconventional courting rituals: Mike's slightly awkward, inexperienced maneuverings and Psmith's dramatic, obstreperous schemes? established relationship: secrecy in the dorm (do they devise schemes to avoid their other roommate? poor Jellicoe!) and stolen kisses in secluded stairways? sneaking out to the village at night while evading detection for midnight dates? ... cricket? (i still have little understanding for the game but is it really Psmith without it?)
The Lighthouse
Characters: Ephraim Winslow, Thomas Wake
I.. have not had the chance to watch this yet, but I will before reveals so no worries about that! But therefore, in terms of prompts & content I'm pretty much open to anything that would not be OOC. Power plays? Situational codependency? Delusion-fueled dubcon/noncon? All's good! I'd be interested in precanon backstory as well, for either characters (although from what I've heard post-canon probably won't be possible).
Maleficent
Characters: Diaval, Aurora, Maleficent, Queen Ingrith
It's alright if you haven't caught the sequel yet (which could technically happen if we didn't match on Queen Ingrith?) but I was pleasantly surprised by the movie and would love to read post-canon fic for it! Prince Philip isn't in the nominations list but I would love to see him included in any fic involving Aurora too. Again, I'd be thrilled to read character studies of any of these characters - and regarding ship permutations, go wild! I multiship and would be intrigued to read any less conventional pairings involving these characters as well. For gen fic, I'd love to see how post-canon (for either movie) worked out for these characters (or precanon for Queen Ingrith's case). I would prefer no dubcon/noncon in this fandom as well.
For Queen Ingrith, I'd be particularly interested in her backstory with her brother, and how she changed thereafter, how she felt being forced to marry a man she didn't love - and did she love her son Philip at all? Bonus points for post-canon if she somehow finds out that her brother hadn't been killed at all, but has instead been living with his old sworn enemies (post-conflict amnesia? a gradual change of heart after initial imprisonment to prevent him from raising an army? go wild!) Basically, realistic redemption arc - which I would love to end in a reconciliation and genuine acceptance of her new daughter-in-law and her son's choices. Or even coming to see her husband as more than a weak king? I would love to see him acknowledging that she was unhappy to have married him out of circumstance, but firmly recognizing that her deeds during the movie were unforgivable and disproportionate in retribution. A grudging mutual understanding between Ingrith and Maleficent? I think the movie did a good job portraying both as strong women despite being archenemies with vastly different ideologies and motivations - and would love to see that further explored!
Diaval/Maleficent:
Postcanon: Does he stay behind in the Moors/in the palace with Aurora while Maleficent rejoins her kind in rebuilding around the world? Cue mutual silent pining, Diaval navigating palace politics & helping Aurora while Maleficent is a world away on a purpose of her own. Dramatic reunions? Or does he join her in her journey across the globe, while everyone wonders and speculates on their relationship? Is their relationship established yet, or is slow burn/sexual tension fully in effect? How does their relationship move beyond the creator/creation bond? Does Maleficent have fun with changing Diaval's form?
Maleficent/Queen Ingrith:
Postcanon: redemption arc? does some ~plot element~ require Maleficent to ask Queen Ingrith for help/information? Is it as simple as their children pleading for them to reconcile? Does the King smilingly accept their relationship, after all he has been through? Post-reconcilation: do they each help the other understand the workings of their very different worlds? what are their children's reactions to their relationship? are they public about it (I would love this - it's a tale as old as time, except this time it's between a "witch" fairy and a queen!)?
The Bacchae
Characters: Pentheus, Dionysus
Ah yes, violent, passionate frenzies. I'd love character backstories of these two fleshed out, drawing from any other Greek myths in general - or meetings in dreams/other forms of Dionysus before their canonical encounter! Or, some AU where they grow up together when Agave doesn't die, with Dionysus presumed as a more normal demigod before he reveals his true divinity? Does Dionysus still eventually wreck his revenge on Thebes and Dionysus?
Pentheus/Dionysus:
I particularly enjoy the dynamic of repressed, stoic Pentheus and flamboyant, dangerously dramatic Dionysus teasing him in all sorts of horrible ways. Power plays? Identity porn? Noncon/dubcon? It's all good!
The Lighthouse
